Running Scripting Languages like Perl, Python and Tcl/Tk on Beagleboard XM

This time around we tried out various options to design simple GUIs using scripting languages on the beagleboard XM and here is a video demonstration of the Proof of Concept.

We are receiving a lot of queries asking us for documentation for all our videos and as I write these blogs we are actively working on a quality documentation to share with the community. So please bear with us for little more time and we will keep them posted soon here !

QT on beagleboard XM

One of the common questions from our customers has been the way the QT works on the Beagleboard XM. This time around our application engineers compiled QT applications against the tool chain of beagleboard XM  and deployed the applications on the beagleboard XM. Arduino meets the BeagleBoard XM

Developers at Tenet love working on the Arduino platform and we always wait for a reason to work with these little boards.The Arduino with its rich set of software libraries makes the design of embedded systems a cake walk and interfacing the Beagleboard Xm with the Arduino brings a lot of resource to these little tiny boards. In the next few weeks we have some interns at Tenet trying to explore this .  It is too early days to say what we could come up with . Demonstrated below is a simple POC of the Arduino talking to the beagleboard XM.

Android 2.2 running on the beagleboard XM

A lot of our customers wanted to know how the android perfoms on a beagleboard XM and here we are showcasing the demonstration of the android 2.2 on the beagleboard XM. We also planned to launch some ready to use sdcards with various OS for the beagleboard which customers can buy and get started instantly on concentrate more on the application development part for their beagleboard . BeagleBoard XM and OpenCV

BeagleBoard XM’s comes with a console version of the angstrom and a lot of our customers wanted to see how does the os with window manager perform on the beagleboard XM. Our Application Engineers used the narcissus to build an image for the beagleboard and also planned to get the opencv library and run some video experiements on the same ! Here is how it looks !

Making a serial debug cable for your beagle board

With the last post clearly showing the way various peripherals are connected to the beagleboard , we decided now to showcase a video that clearly depicts how to make a serial debug cable for the beagle. Nevertheless there are a lot of companies selling ready solutions for all the folks who like to make one of there own this is for you !

All the components needed to make the serial debug cables will be soon available through our webstore and also assembled cables will also be made available soon !
